If your lease has 85 years or less remaining, speak to your solicitor to discuss whether this meets your needs. Lenders can sometimes be reluctant to provide mortgages on homes with a lease below 80-85 years.
You may find it helpful to ensure the surveyor includes a value for the lease extension premium within the report so that you can make an informed decision about whether to extend your lease.
