Brightwells Yard: Farnham's new shopping centre

Published: 30 June 2023

Farnham, a tranquil and traditional town in Surrey, has recently been undergoing several regeneration projects. With over £115 million in funding, the council has envisioned a conservative yet restorative reconstruction that could bring in new residents and visitors.

Brightwells Yard

At the centre of the project is the new shopping centre: the Brightwells Yard. The area will see a multitude of restaurants, pubs and bars, as well as several fashion retailers. An Odeon cinema will also be there, with a six-screen facility.

The centre will not only benefit the residents but also the people of the nearby town. A 400-car park space will also be able to host the many new visitors, who will come to enjoy a day of shopping or dine at one of the many new restaurants.

The new development will also see the emergence of several newly built homes, many of which are under the Shared Ownership scheme for more affordable pricing for first-time buyers. Just a stone's throw away from the shopping centre is the SO Resi homes, giving these new residents the advantage of living at the heart of the new area.

Farnham: a leading Surrey town

Farnham situates in a prime location, with the motorways M3 and M27 nearby and the train station with direct access to London in about an hour. This is a favourite town for many to buy their forever home and raise a family, thanks to its commuting convenience as well as its beautiful surrounding heritage.

We've also written a blog article about living in Farnham earlier this year.
